Small business shouldn't be done alone

The Tasmanian Small Business Expo is all about giving small business owners, entrepreneurs, and supporters what they need most: practical insights, meaningful connections, and access to resources that make running a business easier.

From the moment you arrive, you’ll find opportunities to learn from experienced voices, meet exhibitors who can help you solve real challenges, and connect with others who share your passion for building something great. Whether you’re looking for strategies to grow, tools to streamline your operations, or inspiration to take the next step, this event is built to deliver value you can use immediately.

This builds on what we have delivered in Hobart (since 2024) and Launceston (since 2025), we’re excited to sustain the event to bring together more business owners and those exploring small business – and for the first time in 2026, we’re bringing the event to the North West Coast too!

We’ll be running the Tasmanian Small Business Expo across one week in March 2026 at the following locations;

  • Monday March 16 in Devonport at the Market Square Pavillion, Oldaker Street.
  • Tuesday March 17 in Launceston at Due Cane Brewing Hall, Elizabeth Street.
  • Thursday March 19 in Hobart at Hobart City Hall, Macquarie Street.

 As we know that Tasmanian business owners wear many hats, we’re running two expo sessions in each location, and adding a conference component in Launceston and Hobart to ensure people can access the workshops we run and the expo;

  • 10:00 – 11:30 am | Conference program with speakers (to be announced) run in Hobart and Launceston.
  • 12 noon – 2:00 pm | Lunchtime session for those who are already in Devonport, Launceston or Hobart during the day, balancing work during school hours or avoid the cooler evenings!
  • 5:00 – 7:00 pm | Evening session for those who are coming in after work to explore that side hustle idea, after a full day of commitments or just want to unwind and explore.

While the Tasmanian Small Business Expo is a free event and you are welcome to just turn up, registrations are preferred to help us manage the capacity of the venue, which you can do by clicking the button below.

Free Registration

We are pleased to announce that attendance to the Tasmanian Small Business Expo 2026 is completely free!

We believe in making this valuable event accessible to everyone in the Tasmanian small business community so you can network, access support and learn more to help you with your business. While tickets are free, we highly encourage attendees to register in advance to help us with event planning and to ensure a smooth experience for all participants.

Exhibitors and Presenters

This year’s expo is designed for action. We’ll have exhibitors offering practical solutions that business owners can tap into immediately – think on-the-spot advice for finance and funding, marketing strategies that convert, digital tools and cybersecurity tailored for small business, HR and compliance support, and pathways for growth like e-commerce and exporting.

Many exhibitors will provide quick audits, bookable mini-consultations, live demos, and take-home resources so attendees leave with clarity and next steps, not just ideas.

Apply to exhibit
If you deliver real value to Tasmanian small businesses – whether through services, programs, or tools – and you’re ready to engage with attendees in a hands-on, outcomes-focused way, we want you involved. Spaces are limited and curated to cover the full spectrum of needs, so tell us what problems you solve, what you’ll offer on the day, and how businesses can continue working with you after the event.
Apply now and help create an expo where business owners walk away with solutions and momentum.
